About the assistant
ShipAxis AI is a chat assistant for shipping preparation. Describe what you are shipping and it works through packaging, restrictions and documentation. When you're ready, ShipAxis AI directs you to the ShipAxis shipping platform for rates, labels and tracking. The assistant does not sell shipping and is not authorization to ship a regulated item.
Most damage claims start with the wrong box or the wrong cushioning. The Package Coach asks the questions experienced shippers ask, one at a time, so nothing important is skipped.
The assistant recommends single-wall versus double-wall corrugated based on weight, fragility and stacking. Heavy or dense items get a box rated above their gross weight, and fragile goods get double-boxing with a minimum of two inches of cushioning on every side.
Foam-in-place and molded corners protect rigid electronics, bubble and cell packs protect glass and ceramics, and air pillows are void fill only, not impact protection. The coach explains which one your item needs and why.
Carriers price on billable weight, so an oversized box costs more than a right-sized one. The assistant asks for outside dimensions and actual weight so the platform can quote accurately instead of estimating.
Declared value is not insurance. The coach explains liability limits, when added coverage is worth buying, and what packaging photos and receipts you should keep in case a claim is ever filed.
Transit time drives the coolant plan. The assistant works through insulated liners, gel packs versus dry ice, ventilation requirements and the delivery windows that keep perishables viable.
Commercial invoices, harmonized codes, country-of-origin details and duty responsibility are covered in plain language so paperwork is not the reason a shipment is held.

Exact product recognition, barcode lookup and camera depth measurement are still in development. Until those are released, describe the item or add a reference object to your photo for a better estimate.
Some shipments require more than good packaging. When the assistant recognizes a regulated commodity, it flags the shipment, explains the requirements and blocks the handoff until the review is completed with you.
